But but we already blamed a Muslim!!!!

The nightmarish day in Norway naturally had people "suspecting" Al Qaeda in the kind of societal scapegoating we've come to expect.

Of course, suspecting is a little much in Rupert-Land desperate to fan the flames of full on insanity in a direction other than themselves (I wonder if they'll hack the nation's cell phones tonight to see if it worked?).



Naturally, it turns out it wasn't Al Qaeda, but rather the kind of right-wing bible-distorting lunatic that is all too well-known (and well ignored) in this country but God-forbid it gets mentioned in various terrorist warnings.

The 32-year-old suspected of massacring at least 80 young people at a summer camp and setting off a bomb in downtown Oslo that killed at least seven is a mystery to investigators: a right-winger with anti-Muslim views but no known links to hardcore extremists.

"He just came out of nowhere," a police official told The Associated Press.
