No bullshit too thick

There are times I do fucking despair. No fucking lie is too obvious a fucking lie for Drudge and the Sociopath of Stillwater (Michelle Bachman) to throw out there and spin a few times in the ol' Wurlitzer.

Obama's trip is not going to cost $200 million a day. Look at that skinny guy, there's no way he's eating what would be about ten Toblerones from the hotel minibar.

It is fricking pathetic that anyone watching television has to rely on Anderson Cooper for fact checking. And what a fine job he did. For a rutebega.

Turn the damn thing off. The right wing buyout of America means big profit for broadcasting shit.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference

I'm sure the Reich-wingers, finally concerned about spending, will the equally outraged that the same amount is being spent EVERY DAY on the war in Afghanistan. No? No?

Who needs facts, when delusions are so satisfying?

Who needs reality, when TV is so satisfying?

Who needs science, when religion is so satisfying?

Who needs trials, when lynchings are so satisfying?

What's really, truly hysterically funny about this is that, according to the NYT, 200 corporate executives are going with the prez on this trip, the main point of which is to sell shit to the Indians, particularly military equipment so they can bomb China for us should the occasion arise.

Michelle actually ought to love that.

Apparently, it is going to cost 200M per day. 200M rupees, that is, which equates to about $1.57.

Seriously. That's how this whole thing started.

This has all happened before: FDR was accused in 1944 of sending Navy destroyers to the Aleutian islands to retrieve his little dog Fala, at a supposed cost of millions of dollars to American taxpayers.

The difference then, I suppose, is that there was a proactive president who knew how to fight back against teh stupid.

What those fucking idiots don't get is that it probably will cost 200,000,000 rupees a day.

Oops! Oh well, that's close enough for Fox News.

(In context: Slumdog Millionaire won 10,000,000 rupees!!!1!

And I have paid more than that in rent over the last 25 years.)
