Only fitting

That if you name a Hurricane "Earl" it heads for North Carolina, it probably is going to get to Category "Dale Earnhardt".

I'd start preparing for next year's Hurricane "Buford" right now Alabama.

Aah, you fly-over types don't know when to worry about hurricanes. Here in NC, we don't fret over no stinkin' drive-by storm. It's just going to graze the coast and churn up some waves is all. Surf's up, dudes! Now, if that track starts curving 100 miles further west, then we'll start getting worried.

...now, see, if the National Hurricane Center had been more willing to go out on a limb with their tracking models, they could have seen this NC connection and gone right straight to the root and called this one Hurricane Big E and covered that Earnhardt connection directly...

After that they could call a subsequent tropical depression "Little E" and totally capture the hearts and minds of NASCAR fans...
