NOW we know what it is like to be soccer nation

The combined aggrieved feeling of being royally screwed by a ref.

Now if we can just get better chants than "U-S-A!" and "[fill in name] sucks!" we'll be really closing the gap on the rest of the world.

On the other hand, Joe Barton just apologized to BP for that awful officiating.

So true. That's what happens when you get a virgin World Cup ref. Remember being a virgin? You think you're ready to perform but you don't have any idea what the hell you're doing. Mystrey Dance indeed (ht Elvis Costello).

A good soccer chant for US fans?

How about "Die Foreigner Die!"

The officiating was awful all game long not as bad as the officiating in the Germany Serbia game but bad enough.

On a side note I went to Crew Stadium to watch the game. By game time there must have been 1000 people in the tent it was standing room only. This was 10 am on a Friday. I thought it would thin out at the half but the place was still full at the final whistle.
